Christmas Tag

Merry Christmas! 9 days till Christmas! Zoe and Joe Sugg did the Christmas tag about two years ago. I wanted to do a Christmasy blog but I still haven't found my battery charger so I thought I would do this tag!

 1. When do you start getting excited about Christmas?
Probably just after Halloween. After Halloween I go Christmas crazy!

2. Do you still have advent calendars?

Of course, you are never too old to have an advent calendar

3. What are your favourite Christmas Films?

This is a real tricky one, so I'm going to say a few:
The Grinch
Elf (Which I'm currently watching right now)
The Santa Clause 1-3

4. Do you have any funny Christmas memories?

Not that I can remember at the top of my head.. All my Christmas memories are great.

5. Talk us through your typical Christmas Day?

Wake up, go downstairs - in pj's of course - wait for everyone to come down. Open the presents. Eat a turkey sandwich which would of just come out of the oven. Watch Christmas movies. Eat. Watch more movies. Watch Doctor who of course and any other Christmas specials! Then go to sleep after watching another film.

6. What do you eat for Christmas Dinner?
A roast with the addition of turkey and pigs in blankets - my favourite part of the meal.

7. Do you have any Christmas traditions?

Eating a turkey sandwich for breakfast

8. Which are your favourite Christmas songs?

Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens (Fun Fact, I've actually met him)
Fairy tale of New York
If you haven't seen Gary Barlow and Dawn French sing this then I'll link the video at the end of this blog. Gary Barlow's voice is perfection and Dawn French is hilarious.

9. What is the best Christmas present you ever received?
I've loved all my presents, its too hard to choose. I always get amazing presents.

10.Real or fake christmas tree?

Fake :( I really want to get a real one.

Clarins Wonder Mascara Review

I've been loving the Clarins wonder perfect mascara recently. I was just sorting my makeup when I found this. I chucked it in my 'everday makeup bag'. I then used it the next day and fell in love with it. The reason why its small is because it was a freebie from Clarins. The actual packaging for the bigger mascara looks a lot different to this one. I think this may go on my Christmas wishlist as I've fallen in love with it and I'm not sure when its going to run out. Unfortunately I have very light coloured eye lashes and they don't stand out either. So I always looks for a mascara that's going to keep my eyelashes looking long throughout the day. This one does. On the website it promises to have a long hold throughout the day which it certainty does. As you can see below this was the result of the mascara. I know it  isn't applied perfectly but I quickly applied it to show you all what it looks like on.

I have the shade 01 which is black but I think they also offer brown and blue too. This product is a very expensive buy: costing an incredible £21 but I think its an amazing mascara that's really worth its money. I'm not an expert on mascaras, but by far this is one of the best mascaras I have used.

While I was taking the pictures my dog - Bailey - decided to roll around and get a few snaps! I thought I would show you as he looks so adorable.

Avon True Colour Eye Shadow Quad Review

Hi everyone! I know I said I wouldn't be posting until after my exams but I just found this post I did a little while ago. I hope you enjoy!

I was looking in the AVON catalogue and spotted something called 'true colour eyeshadow quad'. It caught my eye as it was a little compact that had 4 different colours with numbers on it. The numbers are for the order in which you put them on and where. So I ordered the colour 'mocha latte' which is a very neutral compact.

On the back of the box it told you where to put each eye shadow. It's really easy to follow and I thought it would be a really good product to get someone if they are just starting to get into makeup. This was only £6 which I thought was quite reasonable. I think this is such a good idea and would defiantly purchase more. The only fault I have with this product is that the eye shadows don't last the whole day. When you first apply them, the colour is amazing, but throughout the day, the colour slowly fades. I might use the urban decay primer potion and see if that helps but that is the only fault I have with it. Overall I would rate this product 3/5 as it's such a good idea for beginners and is so easy to use however it doesn't last the whole day which lets it down.

The Beauty Blogger Tag!

Today I'm doing the beauty blogger tag, I hope you enjoy!

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I started this blog in July however I didn't really properly start blogging until August as it was the summer holidays and I had quite a lot of spare time. I've always seen lots of blogs that I loved. I wanted to started a youtube channel originally but I'm not confident enough to so I decided to start a blog instead.

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
I read zoella's blog all the time and sprinkleofglitter's but they weren't actually the people who actually inspired me to start an account. It was actually Evangeline Young Blog. Her blog is so pretty, like sprinkleofglitter and zoella's blog.

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?
Probably baby lips? I wanted to try it anyway but there was so many good reviews and what not I was obviously going to try it out.

What are you five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
1) I just enjoy writing about things I love and telling other people
2) That people actually read it, even though I haven't got thousands of followers, I know that 3,000+ people have read my blog which is amazing!
3) The comments, I don't get a lot but when I do, I always smile. I love getting comments as I feel someone's actually read and appreciated my blog
I can't actually think of anymore. I love blogging a lot and would consider it a hobby, I love beauty and I love writing!

What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?
I'm still learning new things about blogging, and I wouldn't say I actually know a lot about blogging still. I've learnt how to lay out my posts a lot better. Well I hope I have?

What advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?
Just be yourself, that's all I can say. Don't copy someone else's blog. You can get inspiration but copying someone else is just boring. Be yourself, and make your blog how you want it. Not what you think people will like, you never know a lot of people may actually fall in love with your blog and actually prefer it to other blogs.

What are your top 5 makeup brands?
1) Boujouis - I love there foundation and lip products.
2) Barry M - its cheap and sells good quality makeup
3) MAC - even though it's incredibly expensive, I do love loads of their products
4) MUA - its a really cheap brand and their makeup is quite good quality for the cost
5) Maybelline - A LOT of my makeup is from Maybelline. I've never tried a different mascara other than there's. I just love Maybelline products!

Recommend your top 5 beauty products..
1) Bourjois Healthy mix serum
2) Bourjois colour boost
3) Maybelline one by one
4) Revlon Lip Butter
5) Naked pallet

I hope you enjoyed this quick little blog. If you have any ideas on future posts please let me know!

If any of you have a blog, please let me know in the comments, I would love to find some other blogs and maybe make a few friends via my blog. It would be great to have some blogging friends!

Topshop Wishlist #2

So I did a Topshop wishlist over a month ago and decided to do another one as I've spotted a few things in Topshop that I would love to get.

Autumn is finally here so I'm getting out all my knitted wear, not that it was really put away for long as the English weather is ridiculous.

Knitted Chunky Boucle Jumper

I saw this really cute grey/white jumper that I thought was really sweet so I added it to my wishlist. It looks super cosy and would be perfect for autumn and winter. The only downfall on this jumper is it costs £42! Which is ridiculously priced. I do think its cute though but I guess it will be on my wishlist forever...

Knitted Mix Stitch Jumper

I then saw this bright pink jumper! It's shockingly pink but absolutely gorgeous. It is rather bright but why can't you have some brights in your autumn wardrobe? A bit of colour to this horrible weather might cheer me up! This jumper is a little cheaper than the other jumper, costing £36

Petite Heart Print Shirt

The next thing that spotted my eye was in the petite section. Its a really cute heart shirt. I like my shirts and think this is adorable and would look great with a white baggy cardigan. It costs £32 but I like it so much I think I might go and buy it.

Burnout Tee

I love the burnout t-shirts, even though they cost £16 but I do wear them all the time and they are incredibly comfy. They now have these tee's in green so I will defiantly be purchasing this green one. This is a great colour for autumn, plus it's one of my favourite colours!

Boxy Silk Shirt by Boutique

This is a really cute see-threw top in a light pink shade. I would have to wear a vest top under this but I think this top would look really nice tucked into some disco pants or high waisted jeans. This shirt cost a whopping £65! I know for a fact New Look do a cheaper version of these tops, so I might go back to New Look and get the green one I spotted last time.
 Gala Floral Jacket by Goldie

I think this is a super cute blazer and I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I know its quite summery but I love it. This jacket is £56!! Which is really expensive however I have fallen in love with it..

Contrast Collar Dress

I thought this dress would look really nice with a pair of tights for autumn and winter months, complimented with a nice bright jacket would look cute too. I think I'm going to have to search all the Topshop's near me to find this as I want this so bad. This dress costs £46 but LOOK AT IT.. isn't it beautiful?!?

MOTO Bleach Acid MOM jeans

MOM jeans have been a massive hype recently and I really want to try a pair on, so I think I will soon. MOM jeans cost £40. I am defiantly going to try a pair on when I go to Topshop next.
MESSENGER Pin stud boots

I don't usually like nor look at the topshop shoes but I saw these boots and they really caught my eye. I think they are super cute and would be great for autumn. These boots cost £38
Basket Stitch Snood

Autumn is here and you have to wear scarfs. I saw this dark red snood and loved it. I used to have one like this very similar but I have seemed to miss place it. I have matching gloves and a hat so that's a little bit disappointing, so I might go out and buy this if I can't find my old one soon, I'd rather not though as it does cost £16

Peonies Backpack

I love this and think the pattern really catches your eye. I do need a new backpack and this would be perfect. The pockets look a lot better on this then my other one so that's a positive. The only negative about this beautiful purple flowery backpack is that it costs £38

Pink Glitter Circle stud earrings

Aren't they beautiful? I know its quite hard to tell that they are earrings but they are and I think they are really cute too. They cost £4.50 which I think is quite a good price. They are quite dressy so they would look perfect for a night out or party.

Silver Knot Ring

I do like to wear rings and I thought this would be a perfect edition to the millions of rings I already own. The ring costs the same as the earrings (£4.50)

So this is the end of my Topshop wishlist! My 13 items came to a gasping £434
Thank goodness I didn't buy all of it! This is why most of these items will forever be on my wishlist.

Thank you for reading this post, there will be a beauty post real soon, so look out for that!

Ask Megan #2

So this was originally was meant to be posted yesterday but I forgot about it as I had my first day back to school.

Anyways I asked my instagram followers to ask me some questions which is what they did, so here we go!

1) What was the first makeup product you brought? - elliesworld_
I can't remember as I did start getting into makeup quite a long time ago. But it was probably a
lipgloss

2) Celebrity crush? - missblondie_
this is tuff as there are so many good looking celebrities but I would have to say Niall Horan.

3) If you could have one piece of makeup for the rest of your life what would it be? - libby_rose_
Probably mascara as my skin is quite clear from spots luckily. Mascara also makes your eyes look nicer and not all squashed (not sure if that's the right word to use)

4) All time favourite product? - olivia_Hassan
Probably mascara, I wear it everyday

5) How long have you had your instagram? - percypigz
I do have an instagram that I use still which has 5k+ but I think I've had meganslittleworld for a month and a bit

6) If you were to own any shop which shop would it be? - charleyc_xox
I don't know, this is quite hard. I do like Topshop however I don't like everything they sell. I love superdrug as I shop in there all the time. So maybe superdrug so I could have beauty products and stuff? But then again maybe Boots as high end brands can be sold there.

7) What do you think about one direction? -holynarry
I love them.. how can you not?

8) What shops would you recommend going to? - holynarry
I would defiantly recommend going to Superdrug or Boots if you are looking for beauty products or perfumes. Clothing wise, New Look is great if you want nice clothes for a reasonable price. Topshop is also one that I would recommend going too.
The designers I would recommend would be Jack Wills as I love their stuff and MAC as I am a fan. I also quite like benefit too.
And if you are looking for a bargain, I would defiantly recommend going to primark as they are selling some really nice bits at the moment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions for a future 'ask megan' then ask in the comments below.
I know there wasn't a ton of questions but I didn't choose all of them to include as I didn't want to bore you!

If you have ideas for future posts let me know in the comments below as it does help! Thank you x

Topshop Wishlist #1

My camera isn't very well at the moment so the photos are really dodgy. So I decided to write a topshop wishlist.

First I have MOTO Black Joni Jeans. I really want some black jeans as I don't own any. I think I might gets some next time I go to Topshop. They cost £36 but I know the jeans from Topshop are super comfy and worth spending out for.

Next I have Ditsy Floral Pyjama Shorts. They are so cute and the type of shorts that I like wearing to bed. They cost £12 which are expensive for pyjama shorts however they are too cute to resist!

I don't actually own any Topshop makeup but everyone is hyping about it. I've seen the colour 'Ohh La La' a lot on instagram and think it's a really nice colour. Topshop lipsticks cost £8 which is on the expensive side but I've heard good things about them

I own one nail polish from Topshop as they are £5 each or £6 depending if they are glittery or not. I do think Topshop nail polish is very expensive and you can get it from other places however they come in really cute packaging and some colours are to nice to resist. I spotted 'magpie' in the shop a few times and have stopped myself from buying it a few times. I think I might just have to splurge out on this one because I don't think I can resist any longer!

I'm a little obsessed with the crop strappy cami's at the moment and haven't seen a pink one yet. But I really want to get one however there £15 each. They are really simple and go with pretty much everything I own so I love them a lot. They're also really comfy too.

I've never spotted these MOTO pink crochet hotpants in Topshop which makes me sad as I really like them. There different from plain, denim shorts which is why I like them. They cost £35 but they probably will be in the next sale which is why I'm going to wait! If not it, it wasn't meant to be!

I know its summer, well meant to be, but it rains so much that I want a new jumper. I practically lived in these in the winter and I really want a new one. This one is a really nice pastel pink and is probably really comfy. They cost £36 but I probably would wear it a lot.

Mint Lace Trim Ankle Socks!!!!! I think it's pretty obvious they would be on here. I have 3 pairs already but I really like the mint coloured pair but haven't been able to find them in any of the topshop's I've been to.

These Black High Waisted Bikini pants are so cute. I've been wanting high wasited bikini pants for ages! I did find a nice bubblegum plunge bikini top but it's not longer available. It doesn't come in a set unfortunately but I do have a bikini top that will go with it. The bikini pants cost £10

Crepe Fit and Flare Dress is also something that caught my eye. I love dresses and need a new one. I quite like getting plain ones so I can accessorize them. £46 is very expensive for a dress which is why I will probably never buy it!

I hope you enjoyed this blog. This probably took me the longest to do as I had to edit the picture which took a lot of going back and forth from my ipod to laptop ect. Please leave ideas for future posts, I really need help on ideas. Thank you.

Tag: The Shopaholic

I am a shopaholic.
I was on youtube, watching voussontbeauetbelle (I hope I spelt that right) and I saw she made a video called 'The Shopaholic Tag' and I decided to do it myself as I was looking for a tag to do and what better one to do than a shopaholic tag as I am one!

1) would you consider yourself as a shopaholic?
I think its pretty obvious that I do otherwise it would be a bit pointless doing this tag.

2) How would you classify your style?
I would probably say girly but I can be a little boyish. I think its really hard to classify my style as I don't really have one 'style' I would say it depends on my mood. However I probably would say I am girly.

3) What store can you not leave without buying at least one thing?
I would probably say Superdrug as there is always something that catches my eye and I just like to try new beauty products out.

4) Where do you find the best deals?
I'm not actually sure.. There are hardly any shops now a days that have bargains. It's mostly when shops have sales so that's most shops! Unless its designer and they are still ridiculously priced.

5) What designer are you willing to splurge for?
Probably Jack Wills I just love there clothes so much and there accessorize. In the last few years I always buy my school bag from Jack Wills as I love there designs. I don't go to Jack Wills that often so when I do buy a few bits as it's a little treat

6) Do you have a go-to shopping outfit?
In the winter it's normally jeans, a baggy cardigan and a nice top but in the summer it's usually a skirt with a nice top unless it's a rainy day.

7) What is your guilty pleasure? (not including makeup)
I would have to say tops. I just can't resist them. I can't fit anymore in my wardrobe, it's ridiculous!

8) what is one staple clothing piece you cannot live without?
Jeans because I just love them so much. They are so comfy. I'm defiantly a jeans girl. I don't really like wearing tracksuits or leggings out I'm not sure why. I consider them more as comfort clothes.

9) what is a trend you hope never goes out of style?
I also hope the pastel, vintage trend doesn't go out either as I am in love with that kind of thing at the moment. I think it's really cute and much better than being 'hipster' and 'different'

10) What trend did you love which passed way too quickly?
I'm not actually sure.. I don't necessarily feel things go out of fashion for me. If I want to wear something I will wear it. I don't really follow trends.

11) Who is your fashion icon?
This is a really hard one as I love a lot of people's style.
I absolutely adore Mollie King's style. I think she has such a nice elegant style as she always pulls it off. Sometimes when I flick through magazines I see celebrities that really inspire me for an outfit.
I also love Zoella's fashion. She has such good taste.
I have many fashion icons really so it is really hard to choose but they are the two I can think of the top of my head.

That's the end of the TAG! I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Sorry I only posted a quick blog yesterday but I had been out for most of the day so I didn't really get time to post anything major. I will try and post a review today.

Remember please tell me in the comments ideas for future posts, it really does help. Thanks

NOTD #1

So I got pretty bored so I decided to paint my nails..

I wanted to paint my nails white but I wanted to 'spice' things up a little bit you could say.

Barry M nail paint in Matt White - £2.99

Gosh Nail Glitter in ROSE QUARTZ - £4.99

This was a really simple nail look but I think it looks nice.

If you don't know how to apply the glitter all you need to do it is paint the nail, while they are wet sprinkle the glitter over it. The excess glitter you put back in the container so make sure you put paper underneath your hand when doing it.

The thing I love most about Barry M nail paint is that they don't take long to dry.
If I see a colour from another brand I always look at Barry M to check if they have the same colour before I buy the other nail varnish.

Hope you enjoyed this quick post! Remember if you want a review of something or have ideas for future posts please comment!

Ask Megan #1

So I asked on Instagram if they could ask me some questions. Hopefully if I do this again in the future I will have a few more questions! Anyways lets begin!

1) Favourite instagram accounts? - hey_kattt
This is a really tricky question as I love loads of instagram accounts.
Probably:
velvetgh0st
evangelineyoung_ (she also has a blog which I love)
heypaigey

There are loads more! Basically everyone who I follow on instagram!

2) Favourite app? - eviesparadise
Instagram and Twitter. I am obsessed!

3) What app do you use for your pictures? - stineilso
Like a lot of igers I use VSCO cam.. Go check it out. Its free (I think) and great for adding an effect on one of your pictures

4) Favourite piece of clothing? - el_dani_peri_funclub

I can't choose between these two. My favourite top at the moment is this blouse from primark, £10.
My favourite bottom pair are these jeans from Topshop, £38
On a rainy day like today, they still look summery but they keep you warm.

 5) Favourite makeup brand? - el_dani_peri_funclub

My favourite high street product would have to Maybelline as I love there bits. My favourite high end makeup though would obviously have to be MAC

6) Favourite colour? - vintagechic17
My favourite colour would have to be green and pastel pink

7) Favourite animal? - vintagechic17
My favourite animal would have to be a dog as I have one. He is called Bailey and he is nearly a year old. I will show you pictures of him however all of them are on my Ipod at the minute. I may do a post for his 1st birthday on the 24th August.

8) Favourite starbucks drink? - vintagechic17
In the winter it is hot chocolate as I haven't bothered to venture out to try any of there other drinks. But I did try caramel crème which is delicious so that's my new favourite! I always have a rocky road without fail as they taste so good!

9) What's your favourite MAC lipstick? - pastelperfectxxx

I only have to but out of them two it has to be HUE
It's a really nice neutral colour that's great for everyday use. If you have any lipsticks you think I should buy let me know in the comments!

10) Favourite music artist/band? - hopelesslyin_love
This is really tricky! I like so many different kinds of music its hard to pick just 1 artist as they are all different. I absolutely love p!nk, she was the first ever person I saw it concert and she was phenomenal. I do have a slight obsession with one direction, ok a lot...
I like many many others too but I would say I have a soft spot for them the most.

11) What's your favourite nail polish? - sssomeoneee

I can't choose one so I will have to say DRAGON and GUAVA however I love all the Barry M gelly's so that was really hard to decide!

12) If you could be any animal for a day what would you be? - niamh_fogarty
I would probably be my dog because he is treated like a Prince. I'm being serious. He gets so much love and attention. He is just too cute.

Sorry this took so long to be uploaded!! I have been procrastinating so much! I am so so sorry. Anyways if you have any MAC lipsticks you think I should buy remember to tell me in the comments.

Review: Silky-finish lipstick - Benefit

I've only ever gotten one lipstick from Benefit, which was a couple of months ago. I do have a few other products of there's which I have loved.

Today I thought I would do a review on my Benefit Lipstick.

Benefit Lipsticks have really cool names. However I didn't pick this shade because of its name, that would be silly. This is a really nice pink colour. Its not a bubblegum pink but its not a dark shade of pink either. It's really easy to apply and goes on without a problem. By the name of the product, you can probably tell it has a 'silky' finish. It almost looks like a lipgloss when you have it on. The product cost £14 at the Benefit counter in Debenhams. I would defiantly recommend on this product as it has a really nice finish and they are very easy to apply. I am considering on buying another lipstick from them as this is one of the nicest lipsticks I own. If you don't want something to dramatic but still want it obvious you are wearing makeup then the colour 'jing-a-ling' is a good option. I haven't really looked at there other lipsticks as I fell in love with this one. But I would probably say they have a genre of colours.

The link below will take you to there website where you can check out the other lipsticks:

Thank you for reading this quick review! Remember to leave comments on ideas for my next blog.
